Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE) Visakhapatnam invites application for SPOT ADMISSION to M. Tech (Energy Science and Engineering) * program from the eligible candidates having Valid GATE Score.

*Note:

• This course will be offered only if at least five candidates are selected
• Monthly fellowship of Rs. 12,400/- for the admitted regular candidates as per IIPE norms

The SPOT ADMISSION is for the following VACANT SEATS of the M. Tech Program:

Eligibility:

• Candidates should have first class with a minimum of 60% or 6.0 & above CGPA (55% or 5.5 & above CGPA for SC/ST/PwD) in any of the Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Master’s Degree in Sciences
• Candidates with valid GATE scorecard

Selection in the Spot Round:

Interview will be held on 28 JULY 2023 from 9:30 AM at IIPE Visakhapatnam. Selection will be based on the merit among the candidates participated in the Spot Round against the vacancies. Selected students will have to take admission on the same day and the classes will commence from 31 st July 2023. Candidates need to come prepared for this.

Steps in Spot Round:

Step 1– Registration:
The eligible candidates are requested to register their willingness through an ONLINE FORM Click here for participation in the Spot Round before 5:00 PM on 21 st JULY 2023.

Step 2 – Participation in Spot Round:
The registered candidates must participate in the SPOT ROUND physical interview conducted by the Department of Energy Science and Engineering, IIPE Visakhapatnam on 28 th JULY 2023. Candidates should bring all their original documents for verification. The department/admission official shall EMAIL to the candidates with the schedule.

Step 3 – Payment of Fees and Admission:
Candidates shall be offered vacant seats as per the MERIT ORDER prepared by the Department of Energy Science and Engineering, IIPE Visakhapatnam on 29 th JULY 2023.

• If a candidate is willing to accept the offered seat, then the candidate shall be asked to make payment of SEAT BOOKING FEE IMMEDIATELY through e-payment

  • SC/ST/PwD: Rs.17,200/-
  • A candidate who accepted the seat will be given a maximum of 1 HOUR to make the payment of the required fees and show/email the receipt to the admission official academicsection@iipe.ac.in
  • If a candidate who fail to make the payment and/or produce the proof of payment to the admission official within the stipulated time, he/she shall have no claim on the offered seat. The seat will be offered to the next candidate in the queue. NO COMPROMISE WILL BE MADE.

Step 4 – Reporting at the Institute:
Candidate, who accepted the seat, has to stay back in the Institute. Classes will commence from 31 ST JULY 2023. Hostel fees payment can be made on this day.
