Constitution of various Committees at IIPE.

 The following various Committees/ Cells have been constituted at IIPE:  

  1. Women’s Cell;
  2. OBC Cell;
  3. SC/ST Cell;
  4. Internal Complaints Cell.

 The Composition and the functions of the Cells/ Committees are furnished below: -  

 Women's Cell:  As a part of the institute's commitment to ensure gender balance, gender budgeting, gender diversity, gender equity, gender justice, and gender welfare a women's cell is being constituted in the institute.

The Cell shall: -

(a) Facilitate a gender sensitive environment enabling women and girls to maximize their potential. 

(b) Address the issues and concerns of all women and girls working and studying in the Institute;

(c) Facilitate a conducive working environment in which women and girls can work and study in a safe and secure environment; 

(d) Work in close cooperation with the ICC constituted by the Institute in accordance with “The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013;

(e) Help the ICC in dealing with cases of workplace discrimination and/or harassment of any kind;

(f) Endeavour to meet at least once every four months, interact with the female members of the institute and keep a record the proceedings of its meetings and interactions; 

(g) Submit the Minutes of its meetings, Reports (if any) containing its recommendations/suggestions etc to the Director. 

(h) The Cell Shall, towards achieving its objectives as above, organize/facilitate such events/activities as:

(i) Dialogue and discussion on gender issues;

  1. Gender sensitization lectures and talks; 
  2. Gender related seminars and workshops;
  3. Competitions on gender-related themes; 
  4. Women-empowerment initiatives; 
  5. Celebrations of international women’s day etc.

The Chairperson (external expert) will be eligible for payment of sitting fee/honorarium in accordance with the approval accorded by the BOG. (committees constituted by the Director).

The Officer nominated by the Registrar, IIPE shall arrange for administrative, secretarial and logistics supports to the Cell, as needed. 

The Cell comes into effect immediately and will remain in force, until further orders. 

 OBC Cell:  As a part of the institute's commitment towards ensuring a just and fair social order marked by inclusion, equality and justice, an 'Other Backward Castes' Cell is being constituted.

 The composition of the Cell is as under:

The Cell shall: -

(a) Function as an Anti-Ragging Cell for the OBC students and as a Grievances Redressal cell for OBC students, staff and faculty of the Institute and render them necessary counsel and help in addressing their concerns and challenges (academic, administrative, social etc.) and suggest to the Director suitable preventive, corrective and remedial measures, for implementation;

(b) Inquire, in accordance with law, into complaints or any nature received by it in writing (e-mail included) concerning any wrong-doing, errant conduct/behaviours and/or discrimination towards any member of the OBC community of the institute and submit its findings and recommendations arrived at in accordance with law, confidentially to the Director.

(c) Carry out any other work assigned from time to time by the Director, towards enhancing the welfare and well-being of the members of the OBC community;

(d) Endeavour to meet at least once every four months, interact with the members of the OBC community in the institute and keep a record of the proceedings of its meetings and interactions. 

Members of the Cell (other than those on the rolls of the institute) will be eligible for payment of sitting fee/honorarium in accordance with the approval accorded by the BOG.

The Cell comes into effect immediately and will remain in force, until further orders. 

SC/ST Cell:  As a part of the institute's commitment towards ensuring a just and fair social order marked by inclusion, equality and justice, a 'Scheduled Castes’ and ‘Scheduled Tribes’ Cell (SC/ST Cell) is being constituted.

 The cell comes into effect immediately and will remain in force, until further orders.
